Mount Rainier

Destination: Silver Falls
Stopped in Yakima to pick some cherries for the trip
Trees on the Mountain are that big
Hiking the trail was fun
Kaleb our little expolorer climbing on a fallen tree
A bridge over the river means we are almost there . . .I think.
Another picture of the kids on the bridge.
A little different view
Kaleb still exploring.

Surprise, surprise . . . Kaleb caught a frog!

Twin Sisters

Kade, Kaleb, and Lauren ready to explore the twins.

Resting in a crack.

Kaleb on top with a view

The kids found a cave

Lauren in the cave with the twin sisters behind her.

Surprise, surprise . . . . . Kaleb caught a lizard!

The Neighbor's Canoe

Maddie is very generous with her canoe, so Kaleb and I took it fishing.

Kaleb with yet another bass from the Yakima River.

It was so fun, we talked Kade and Lauren into coming with us the very next day.

Tory and Kaleb at Dog Lake

Since Kade was off at Scout Camp, Kaleb and I thought we would go camping. Here are some pictures of our trip.

Kaleb caught dozens of fish . . .

. . . all but two of them were about 3 inches in length.
He even took time to clear the river of log jams.
But fishing took most of his time.

Big or small, he just can't get enough of it.

Fishing from the shore was a balancing act, but Kaleb was up to the challenge.

Kaleb and I didn't have a boat, so ole "Huck Finn" made due with an old sign and a big stick.

After getting lost in the woods, we tried to hitchhike back to camp, but with this face, nobody stopped to give us a ride.

With all the excitment, Kaleb had to relax and wash his feet.

And finally, the classic "hold the camera out and shoot" shot.
